American actress Hayden Panettiere, known for her roles in the horror film saga ‘Scream’ and the movie ‘Remember the Titans’, passed away last August after consuming an oxycodone pill, an opioid painkiller, adulterated with fentanyl, according to recent reports by the media outlet TMZ.
Hayden Panettiere ingested a deadly pill on the day she died and, according to several police sources consulted by the outlet, it is believed that it was oxycodone adulterated with fentanyl.
TMZ states that all their sources are connected to the case and have direct knowledge, emphasizing that Hayden had a “drug dealer” for some time in Los Angeles, who supplied her with various medications from the black market, including oxycodone.
“We are informed that Hayden used several drugs purchased from her dealer during the flight from Los Angeles to South Carolina, the day before her death,” says the entertainment news outlet.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Los Angeles is reconstructing the relationship between Hayden and her dealer, trying to trace the origin of the deadly pill.

On August 16, the actress was found in cardiopulmonary arrest when emergency services arrived at a house located in the residential complex Judson Mill Lofts in Greenville, South Carolina, after receiving a distress call.
According to CNN, the 911 emergency call was made by Brian Hickerson, the actress’s boyfriend, and her brother Zach, who alerted operators about the critical condition of the artist.
Minutes after the news circulated in the media, Panettiere’s father confirmed the actress’s death in a statement to ABC News.
“It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her, and to the millions who saw her on screen,” said the actress’s father.
The preliminary autopsy performed on the deceased ruled out signs of violence.
The actress, also a model and singer, who died at 36 years old, began her career as a child star and developed a long career in television and film.
She is remembered for her role as Claire Bennet in the successful series ‘Heroes’, but especially as Juliette Barnes in the musical drama “Nashville”, for which she received two Golden Globe nominations. A series she starred in for 128 episodes between 2012 and 2018.
