High-level meetings with Aerocivil officials attended by the young Gabriela Muñoz and her brother

“My presence at some meetings did not imply command capacity, authority to give instructions, or decision-making power.”
The words are from Gabriela Muñoz, lthe young law student, Grade I assistant at the Civil Aeronautics, who joined that entity on the recommendation of her mother Liliana Olaya, until recently the counterintelligence coordinator of the National Intelligence Directorate of the Petro government.
Although the young woman assured that she did not participate in contracts or appointments, and that her attendance at meetings was by invitation of the director of Aerocivil, Luis Alfonso Martínez Chimenty, authorities are investigating why, with a low-ranking position, she and her brother, Santiago David Muñoz, appear in meetings where sensitive topics of the entity were discussed.

“The important thing is not their positions, but the meetings they attend”, said an official of the entity, who added that the young people arrived at work in high-end SUVs, one with license plate NKT-407 in the name of their mother.
In photos in the possession of EL TIEMPO, Gabriela is seen in a meeting with the director of Aerocivil; the then secretary of aeronautical authority, Édgar Rivera;engineer Jorge Saltarín; the head of operational security of Satena, Colonel Carlos Briñez; and the Slots coordinator, Mauricio Corredor.
This newspaper also has a series of photos showing Gabriela’s brother, Santiago Muñoz Olaya – a single-engine land aircraft pilot – in several meetings with the Aerocivil leadership.
Liliana de las Mercedes Olaya.

Sources close to the investigation also told EL TIEMPO that not only is the influence of the Muñoz mother in Aerocivil being verified, but also that of her husband José Pompilio Muñoz.
In fact, it is being checked whether the latter has recorded entries to the entity in an armored SUV. Also, whether he attended meetings with high-ranking Aerocivil officials like his children.
It is also being verified why Gabriela Muñoz accompanied the director of the entity to events such as the National Infrastructure Congress in Cartagena, the inauguration of the radar at Leticia Airport, Amazonas, the opening of the Assembly of Delegates of the Colombian Association of Controllers (Acdecta) in Santa Marta, to inspect works at Tolú airport, and even to start the construction of the air terminal in Barranquilla.
In fact, documents from Aerocivil recorded that even a Police aircraft was used to transport the young woman to an event in Leticia.
