In addition to the earthquake, reconstruction, and solidarity with Colombia, President Abelardo De La Espriella has been attentive to another matter: the appointments of officials linked to the previous government, which he has requested to be reviewed with immediate effect.
Appointments have already been halted in the National Planning Department (DNP), with Carlos Sepúlveda-; and in the Ministry of ICT, with the Secretary General, Magda Yolima Amaya. Both played key roles in Gustavo Petro’s administration and both already have replacements.
Position and notary?
But the purge, which some describe as ideological and which also occurred when Petro came to power, has not yet stopped.
Although some officials remained ‘nailed down’ (especially in the diplomatic service), there is now a request to review an alleged appointment at the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI), an entity that will play a key role in the reconstruction of infrastructure affected by the earthquake.
Political sectors and social media accounts claim that the new vice president of the agency or corporate head would be Andrés Camilo Pardo Jiménez, who has strong ties to the previous government.
In fact, a resolution with his appointment is circulating on social media. ANI confirmed the appointment to EL TIEMPO. But no one admits it publicly.
In the document, supposedly signed by Ricardo Ayerbe, head of ANI, it warns that after verifying the resume by Human Talent, Pardo meets all the requirements of the established profile.
The reproaches
“Videos of Pardo Jiménez with Guillermo Alfonso Jaramillo, whom he advised in the Health portfolio, are circulating on social media. Also, he was Secretary General of Invia in the previous government,” they told EL TIEMPO from ANI itself.
Also, one day before leaving the government, Petro and Cielo Rusinque (as Interim Minister of Justice) signed a decree appointing Ingrid Paola Ortiz Castro, notary 74 of Bogotá, on an interim basis. She is the wife of Andrés Camilo Pardo Jiménez, whose ID appears in the ANI resolution with the alleged appointment.
Both professionals have outstanding resumes and no impediment to assume the position. And the head of ANI, Ricardo Ayerbe, has not yet addressed the doubts about the alleged appointment.

The head of human talent of the entity, whose approval would appear on the circulating resolution, told EL TIEMPO that these appointments come from the presidency of the entity and that she would confirm the authenticity of the document. But, by the close of this edition, she had not provided any information.
And a person, identified as an advisor to Ayerbe, stated that he has not yet taken office and is unaware of the matter.
The Ministry of Transport stated that they are not authorized to make statements and the Vice Presidency stated that they do not even know the alleged appointee.
Former Minister Guillermo Alfonso Jaramillo has also not answered calls made to know his opinion on the matter.
A person close to Pardo said he is a professional with extensive experience and that he would decline the appointment.
