In 3 minutes and 2 seconds, a 45-year-old subject identified by those close to the case as Jesús Acosta Lizardo, with a heavy build and 1.76 meters tall, violently and repeatedly beat a young businesswoman, owner of the renowned pastry shop Rü Patisserie, located in the exclusive restaurant area of Usaquén, northern Bogotá.
EL TIEMPO exclusively revealed the statements of the businesswoman, María Quevedo, in which she narrates how she was attacked by the subject, whom she had hired two weeks earlier to take care of the premises: “I couldn’t ask for help. My voice wouldn’t come out. I managed to kick a table where all the glassware was, and when it fell, the neighbors of the Santa Lucía restaurant realized something was happening. He was shouting at me: ‘I’m going to kill you, damn bitch, I’m going to kill you. That’s why I fear for my life.”
The resume
Security cameras show how the man – who has Venezuelan documents but claims to be Colombian – started punching her in the face and dragged her by the hair to the kitchen, so that people passing by at that time would not help her.
The events occurred last Thursday, July 23, at 8:36 p.m.
Due to the violent attack – which left the young woman with a fractured nose, 80 injuries on her body, and part of her scalp detached – the Police detained the employee, but he was released while Quevedo was being treated at the Reina Sofía Clinic.
While what happened is being established, relatives have begun to provide data on the alleged aggressor, which investigators are already analyzing. One of these elements is his resume, whose data is being cross-referenced.
Tracking in the U.S.
“The residence of Mr. Jesús Acosta Lizardo has already been located. He has a Venezuelan passport and Venezuelan ID, but he claimed to be Colombian. Some data is being cross-referenced,” explained a source close to the case.
EL TIEMPO investigated and established that they are looking into whether the man was in Miami, Florida, and if he is the same person who appears with an address in Pembroke Pines: “If it is not a homonym, with the same two names and two surnames, they seek to establish why he would have omitted that information.”
In addition, efforts are being made to locate the people who appear to be giving references for the subject and his former employers.

History of violence?
Although he has no criminal record in Colombia, what is being sought is to establish whether he has had violent behavior in the past.
In addition, whether the data he included in his resume, such as a master’s degree in project management and jobs in two restaurants and even in Monserrate, as a translator, are true.
Through social media, the subject allegedly indicated that he was going to surrender, but when they tried to contact him on his cell phone, he did not respond.
“I was very scared at that moment, it was a premeditated act. He dragged me to the kitchen where no one could see him and where there were knives and other elements,” the businesswoman told EL TIEMPO, assuring that the employee reacted violently when she asked him not to return.
“He had strange behaviors. He started invading my personal space, saying he had learned my car’s license plate and that it was very pretty. But not to worry, he wouldn’t say it in front of customers,” narrated the businesswoman, and the videos show the violent beating.
