After the discovery of the body of a minor in a sewer in the JJ Rondón neighborhood, in the locality of Ciudad Bolívar, Bogotá, which would presumably correspond to a girl reported missing in Mosquera, Mayor Nelson Parra gave statements to EL TIEMPO.
According to the mayor, a relative would have recognized the body as that of the missing minor; however, he assured that Legal Medicine will be the entity responsible for officially confirming her identity.
He also provided the alleged timeline of the case obtained from the surveillance cameras in the area.

In the communication, the mayor assured that the minor was recorded on several security cameras in the area.
According to Parra, around 10:30 in the morning, the minor found lifeless would have moved to the area known as Porvenir Río.
The same audiovisual records described by the mayor would later show the minor leaving the same “pato” area on a motorcycle and entering Bogotá, specifically the Casandra neighborhood.
“Three minutes later, in the security videos from Casandra, the motorcycle leaves and then, subsequently, the motorcycle enters about seven minutes after leaving the neighborhood and returns without the minor”, the mayor stated.
The mayor of Mosquera, who was leaving an Extraordinary Security Council, assured that this is the context and the alleged timeline they have so far.

NO ES HORA DE CALLAR
The discovery of the body occurred when a group of children passing through the sewer noticed the presence of the corpse several meters from the entrance, immediately alerting the community.
Following the call, officers assigned to the CAI San Francisco and units from the Official Fire Department arrived at the site to remove the cover of the structure and proceed with the extraction of the victim.
The body was transferred to the headquarters of the National Institute of Legal Medicine in the early hours of Wednesday, September 16, to establish the identity of the minor.
According to preliminary reports, the body showed bruises and signs that the victim was barefoot, so the authorities have not yet ruled out aggression before her death.
For now, the Bogotá Metropolitan Police and the Prosecutor’s Office maintain several lines of investigation open to clarify the circumstances of the discovery and locate those responsible.
The authorities reiterated that the Legal Medicine reports will be decisive in guiding the judicial investigations.
Finally, local authorities called on the public to provide information that helps identify the circumstances or other details that can determine the causes of death.
