On the night of Wednesday, September 9, the macabre discovery of two lifeless bodies inside a car traveling at kilometer 17+400, near the municipality of Chipaque, Cundinamarca, was reported.
EL TIEMPO’s Investigative Unit had exclusive access to a preliminary report of the events in which a double murder and one person arrested are mentioned.
The inspection
The report states that National Police officers stopped a private vehicle that was acting suspiciously.
“Upon complying with the stop, the driver pulled the car over and upon inspection, the lifeless body of a woman was observed in the front passenger seat,” the case report reads.
It adds: “After asking the driver to get out of the vehicle and conducting a search, the lifeless body of a minor was found in the back of the car.”
Apparently, the 32-year-old woman in the front passenger seat was the romantic partner of the man, a former soldier who currently works as a security guard. And the 11-year-old girl was his stepdaughter.
Raid in Bogotá
Sources familiar with the investigation told EL TIEMPO that the Attorney General’s Office is preparing an operation at a house in Bogotá, where the victims and the main suspect apparently lived.
The man was arrested and according to the initial hypothesis, he killed his partner and stepdaughter inside the house and traveled about 43 kilometers to Chipaque to dispose of the bodies.

“The house will be inspected for evidence to determine if the two women were murdered at the location,” an investigator close to the case told EL TIEMPO.
He added that in the next hours the former soldier will be presented before a control judge for the legalization of his arrest.
