On the occasion of the holiday bridge return plan, the authorities implemented a special operation to facilitate the entry of travelers to Bogotá this Monday, July 13.
According to the District, the circulation of about 300,000 vehicles is expected on the South Highway and La Mesa road, so it is recommended to plan the trip in advance and follow the instructions of the traffic authorities.
In addition, the reduction from three to two lanes on the South Highway continues, between the entrance to Maiporé and the 3M sector, due to TransMilenio works.
This holiday Monday, the regional pico y placa for entry to Bogotá will also be in effect:
- 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.: only private vehicles with license plates ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 may enter.
- 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: entry will be exclusive for private vehicles with license plates ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.
- Before 12:00 noon and after 8:00 p.m.: all private vehicles may enter without restriction.
- The measure applies to the nine entry corridors to the capital: North Highway, South Highway, 13th Street, 80th Street, Seventh Avenue, Suba-Cota road, La Calera road, Choachí road, and Llano road.

Authorities intensify controls due to travelers’ return
With the expected increase in vehicle flow during this holiday Monday, the District Mobility Secretariat has reinforced surveillance and control tasks at the main access points to Bogotá. The operation includes presence on the road to attend incidents and speed up mobility during the return plan.
