The mother of the influential Muñoz brothers, from Aerocivil, was a counterintelligence coordinator at the DNI, this is the web of contracts

The week of July 15, several Aerocivil officials recorded an incident on the 5th floor of the entity, in the middle of a meeting in which its director Luis Alfonso Martínez Chimenty was present. And some claim that security cameras captured Santiago David Muñoz Olaya on the floor, an auxiliary 5 who is placed in key meetings of the entity.

EL TIEMPO investigated and established that Muñoz Olaya is the brother of Gabriela Muñoz, who on social media has been pointed out for more than three months as an influential and young official also of Aerocivil, who would pull strings of power. The Investigative Unit of this newspaper established that the mother of the young officials worked until recently as counterintelligence coordinator of the National Intelligence Directorate (DNI).

Indeed, two days after the altercation at Aerocivil, where someone threatened to go to Casa de Nariño, the psychologist by profession resigned from the DNI.

Sources from the Petro government itself said that Olaya arrived at counterintelligence through Jorge Lemus, former director of that entity and once a trusted man of Petro: “Liliana Olaya worked with Lemus in the Fire Department during Gustavo Petro’s mayoralty.”

Liliana Olaya, who has come out to justify the contracts of her children and nephews at Aerocivil, did not allude to her link with Lemus nor with the DNI, which EL TIEMPO reveals.

What she did admit is that at least six people from her family have had contracts with the State: Olaya, her two children, and four nephews. Also several friends of the young Gabriela Muñoz.

“I recommended them, they are newly graduated and others are studying. Two are engineers and two are high school graduates. I recommended them to General Pinto, former director of Aerocivil. They don’t earn millions as they say and I told them to fulfill their duties“, Liliana Olaya told EL TIEMPO.

But she said she would not talk about her work because she feared for her safety.

One of the cousins is Daniel Felipe Arias Olaya, who has a current contract to provide assistance services to support operational, logistical, and institutional relationship activities of the Citizen Attention Office (OAC).

Also listed is Samuel Muñoz Rayo, who has a contract to provide management support services in activities related to document management. The list also includes Juan Manuel Galindo Muñoz, who provides professional services in technical matters to support planning, quality management, and documentation processes of Aerocivil, for 70 million pesos.

Also appearing with a contract is Silvana Muñoz Jaramillo, a cousin of the clan. And it is being verified if another young woman close to the Muñoz Olaya family has a contract to provide administrative support services in groups of the sub-directorate of collection. She has three more contracts, two with the Ministry of the Interior and another with the Fiscal and Parafiscal Management Unit.
